This conference will explore relationships between violence against women and the broader cultural, social and economic context.  Opened by author and journalist Joan Smith reflecting on the state we’re in twenty years after her feminist classic ‘Misogynies‘ was first published, the conference will ask: How have things changed? What are the challenges that academics, policy makers and service providers face, and where do we go next?
